Melanie is a personal lines agent licensed both in Texas and Colorado and has been serving the insurance needs of her clients and friends for over 30 years.
Melanie started her insurance career at a young age, working with her mother who was an agent, and learning the ropes. A few of the positions Melanie feels were most beneficial to her education in the insurance industry include: working at a law firm to file judgements against uninsured drivers, attending claims school, and working as a licensed claims adjuster at one of the largest U.S. carriers. The education continued when she was offered a job as a Farm and Ranch claims adjuster and underwriter for a Farm Mutual company. Melanie has worked with reinsurance companies, insureds, claimants, and other insurance agents.
Melanie has also obtained three prestigious designations for insurance agents.

Melanie’s hobbies and interests include spending time with her three sons and one grandchild. Her husband is a nature photographer, they travel extensively to Big Bend where he takes photos and they run a campground, she enjoys hiking, archery, kayaking, and generally being outdoors.
